Power transmission in tight spaces

A power connection also has to work safely and reliably when space is at a minimum. This is often the case inside machines and systems, in particular.

Power flows around corners and on multiple levels, while structural tolerances also have to be taken into account and measurement errors compensated for.

Our components, such as bus bars, are used in tight spaces when generating and distributing energy – in power stations and substations, switching devices, transformers and generators. They are used in power line construction and are also found in the electric drive systems of various vehicles – whether in aviation, the car industry or in rail vehicles.

These challenges frequently only come to light at a late stage in the project, meaning a high degree of creativity and flexibility are then required when finding a solution. Sefag Components AG specialises in finding tailored solutions for its customers – even when working to a tight schedule. However, in an ideal world our specialists will already be involved in the planning phase in order to anticipate such problems as early as possible. The experiences we have gained from projects in the most varied fields of application ensure that we can not only find a solution for any challenge, but also potential for improvement as well.

Our customers include various specialists from the automotive engineering field. Our components can be found in the electric drive systems of various vehicles – whether in aviation, the car industry or in rail vehicles. Our specialised components are also used as connecting parts for asynchronous motors in ships.

We are well aware of the potential – but also the limits – of copper, aluminium and other conductive metals. Our expertise in production technology ensures that we can take these materials and process them into a tailored solution that requires very little space, yet guarantees a reliable connection.
